NACCTFO's Annual Conference, with election of officers and education seminars, is held each July where the NACo Annual Conference is scheduled. During this conference, members and sponsors are afforded the opportunity to engage in social and networking activities during evening events. The NACo portion of the conference includes a large exhibit hall with vendors who provide services/products to government.

Education Seminars

1. Treasury Operations: The Impact of Robotic Process Automation and AI
Learn from two experts. Treasurer Catherine McClary uses Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for enhanced  and automated collection of revenue. Greg Prost, Chief Investment Officer with Robinson Capital, will discuss  what the future may look like with AI.

2. Learning from Experience: Cybersecurity
Electronic communications and transactions offer so much potential for efficiency and effectiveness, but there are so many dangers from hacking, ransomware, and the like. Participants will hear from Chris Craft, Monte Kosoff, Nick Wells, & Eddie Becht (Staff of St. Lucie County, Florida), about their experience with ransomware, the lessons learned, and ways to plan to prevent major disruptions from occurring in the future. 

3. Navigating the New World of Professionalism.
How and where we work has changed significantly over the past few years, which has impacted  business etiquette. Attendees will hear from Kim White-Jenkins an expert about how things have changed and emerging trends. They will also have an opportunity to share information about  how they are dealing with the changes in dress code, meeting attendance, email language, and other important professionalism topics. 

4. The Nuts and Bolts of Tax Administration.
Tax collection is a crucial aspect of what NACCTFO members do, but there is so much diversity across states and counties in how they approach the task. Through breakout sessions with Brady Baybeck, attendees will have an opportunity to share information with each other, learning about best practices, and getting ideas about how to be more effective. 

5. Fiscal Fluency.
Budgets are not just the realm of CFOs and budget officers. In this interactive session, participants will learn with Brian Min about how they can use planning and budgeting  to achieve strategic goals within their offices. 

6. Work-Life Balance as a Retention Strategy.
Work can be all-consuming if you let it, but ultimately that can be unhealthy for individuals and organizations. This hands-on session with Sondra Jetkins will provide information and tips on how organizations can become more effective by balancing the work demands with employee professional responsibilities.
