In this interactive session, participants will learn techniques for navigating difficult conversations in safe, respectful, and meaningful ways.

Instructor: Barbara L. Jones, M.A.
Educator in the Office of Sexual Violence Prevention and Education at Wayne State University and a trained and certified restorative justice facilitator through the University of San Diego. She has over 18 years of experience in conflict and dispute resolution, restorative justice, and violence prevention. Barbara holds a Master's degree in Dispute Resolution and a Graduate Certificate in Peace and International Security Studies from Wayne State University. A former faculty member in the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Wayne State University, she taught social justice activism and conflict resolution for over a decade. A published author, her work appears in Daedalus (MIT Press) and Beyond Equity and Inclusion in Conflict Resolution (Rowman & Littlefield).
