We live in a time of mixed signals in the US economy, something that makes the lives of treasurers, collectors, and finance officers complicated. In this interactive session, participants will learn about where the US economy has been and where it might be heading. Through presentation, discussion, and information sharing, participants will get strategies to navigate the uncertainty.


Instructor: James Jacobs, PhD
President Emeritus of Macomb Community College in Macomb County, Michigan. He served as president of the college from 2008 to 2017, capping a 40 year career at the institution, where he held many different positions including professor of economics. He is very active in the field of workforce development and is widely known for his annual Macomb County Economic Forecast. He earned his PhD in political economy from Princeton University.
