NACCTFO's Annual Conference, with election of officers and education seminars, is held each July where the NACo Annual Conference is scheduled. During this conference, members and sponsors are afforded the opportunity to engage in social and networking activities during evening events. The NACo portion of the conference includes a large exhibit hall with vendors who provide services/products to government.

The event kicks off the evening of Sunday, 7/7 and continues with educational sessions through 7/10.
NACCTFO's Annual Banquet and Installation Dinner will take place on Wednesday evening, July 10th.

Education Seminars

1. AI’s Impact on the County Treasury and Collection Functions.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has already transformed tax collections and will continue to drive innovation. A panel of experts and treasurers will discuss the implications and offer some best practices in this fast-evolving field.

2. Fiscal Fluency.
Budgets are not just the realm of CFOs and budget officers. In this interactive session, participants will learn about how they can use planning and budgeting to achieve strategic goals within their offices.

3. Navigating the New World of Professionalism.
How and where we work has changed significantly over the past few years, which has impacted business etiquette. NACCTFO members will hear from an expert about how things have changed and emerging trends. They will also have an opportunity to share information about how they are dealing with the changes in dress code, meeting attendance, email language, and other important professionalism topics.

4. The Nuts and Bolts of Tax Administration.
Tax collection is a crucial aspect of what NACCTFO members do, but there is so much diversity across states and counties in how they approach the task. Through breakout sessions, members will have an opportunity to share information with each other, learning about best practices and getting ideas about how to be more effective.

5. Cybersecurity, Remediation, & Recovery.
Electronic communications and transactions offer so much potential for efficiency and effectiveness, but there are so many dangers from hacking, ransomware, and the like. This session will update attendees on the latest threats, but also the best ways to counter them.

6. Work-Life Balance as a Retention Strategy.
Work can be all-consuming if you let it, but ultimately that can be unhealthy for individuals and organizations. This hands-on session will provide information and tips on how organizations can become more effective by balancing the work demands with employee professional responsibilities.
